If your mother is living, there is a good chance you will speak to her this Mother’s Day weekend. You may even spend a significant amount of time together. So I thought I’d provide a few quick questions to ask her that might just serve you both.

Questions for Mom

  1. What is your favorite memory of your mother?
  2. What is your favorite memory of us together?
  3. What would you want to be remembered for?
  4. What life lesson taught you the most?
  5. What would you still like to teach me?
  6. Where is your favorite place on earth?
  7. How did having children change you?
  8. Have you ever experienced a miracle?
  9. Is there anything you wish we could do together?
  10. How can I serve you better?

Happy Mother’s Day

My Grandmother taught me numerous things in life, and I learned never to discount what she had to say. I often spent hours talking to her, because I looked for her perspective to help shape mine. I still have questions I wish she could answer. Although much of her is in me, I suppose I could find the answers deep down inside. I took the time when she was here to listen to what she had to say. This Mother’s Day, I hold dear our late night, early conversations, and feel so grateful for the perspective on life she gave me to pass on.
