Are you willing to share? Getting personal.

This week, my goal is to share more of myself with you. We all want to be known in a deep and real way, but it is hard to share who we really are with others, especially in newer relationships. It takes courage to be vulnerable and to trust others with our true selves.

Sharing who you are is a skill that can improve with practice. I’ve been working on this skill for almost a decade, and I can assure you that it is worth the effort to express your true self more often so you can attract the people, connections and life experiences you want.

I wasn’t sure what would be the best way to share with you more about who I am. I could point you to my LinkedIn profile where I share my business accomplishments or send you to the part of my website that has details about my upbringing. My Instagram account shows bits of my personal life.

In the end, I decided that the best plan was to share this podcast interview. If you have the time and interest, I’d be honored for you to give it a listen. This interview reflects who I am, what I want for you, what I’m struggling with and a glimpse of what I’ve been through. As an introvert, sharing my life more broadly has not been an easy journey, but there is a greater purpose to it: It contributes to my efforts of building a meaningful work life and authentic relationships.

MY INTENTION IS TO SHARE MORE OF MY TRUE SELF WITH THE PEOPLE AROUND ME.

This week, I hope you will take the time to reflect on how you might share more of yourself with others. It’s fine if this is a slow process, but use this time as a chance to decide how you can get started. What do you want people to know about you? Where would you point them to learn more about you? Take a look at your online social profiles and think about whether or not they reflect who you truly are.

Offline, are you sharing the things that matter most to you with the people around you? Spend some time this week journaling about how and where you can share more of yourself with others, and what you would like to open up about.

Wishing you a peaceful and intentional week.

Meet me here to connect more often.
